Kaflooey Show #45 – Due West
Season 2 finale (finally)…
Things have been really busy for us, what with our little jaunt across the Atlantic to Canada, finding a new house, getting settled etc… etc… but we’ve finally made it and I’ve found time to put together “The immigration show” – or Season 2 finale.
(Doesn’t everybody seem to be doing seasons now!?)
A very big thank you to everyone who helped us with our move – family and friends in England and Canada.
And thanks to the locals in Fernie who’ve made us feel incredibly welcome.
Music on today’s show:
As usual thanks to Ioda’s Promonet for the fantastic music on the show, and also to Mark Arron James for his permission to play Aquaman’s Lament.

I dunno. Suddenly I have “Go West” by the Village People running through my head.
It was interesting — I was listening to this, and thinking about what I was feeling when I moved to France, all the stress and the excitement and the exhaustion (and the need for a stiff drink at the end). It evoqued a lot of memories.
May you and your family be happy in your new home…

Thanks for the comment Katherine and you know what, since we`ve moved here we`ve found that
Life is peaceful here; in the open air
You know, where the skies are blue
Basically – This is what we`re gonna do
Or something like that!
Good luck with your new podcast by the way!

Nice travelogue. It’s good to have the show back.
Hope the Canardans are seeing you right.

Thanks, Chris — here I thought I was just going to play around and do a couple and learn how to edit, but it seems that my manager (AKA Rob) has decided to push me off the cliff in a big way.
Fortunately, there are some great examples of music podcasts out there, and of folks selecting cool music to inspire me as well.
We’ll see how it goes, eh?

Hi Chris!
Just started listening to your show this summer and I’m enjoying the music much more than I expected to! I would love it if you could do more music comedy like the “No Limits” one – it was hilarious! I was surprised to hear you were flying to Calgary, since that is where I am.

Hi Belinda,
Thanks for the comment, and thanks for listening!
I’ll be doing more comedy for sure, so no worries there, and the “Taking you from Behind (the Mixing Desk)” is going to be a regular segment, so hopefully, that’ll be more of what you’re after
Oh, and yes, we flew to Calgary, but we’re living in Fernie. Nice to know I have a listener in the nearest metropolis
All the best,
Chris.
